Project Architect II
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Architect II to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ.
Our firm is a growing, healthcare-focused architectural practice of approximately 40–50 professionals. We work on consequential projects for hospitals, health systems, rural healthcare providers, and specialty care organizations throughout Arizona and the surrounding region. Our work includes new hospitals, major renovations and expansions, emergency departments, surgical platforms, imaging, cardiac services, women’s services, inpatient units, pharmacies, sterile processing departments, and other technically demanding healthcare environments.
Project Coordinator II supports the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects by coordinating schedules, resources, communications, and project documentation. This role works closely with project managers, cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
· Lead architectural projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration phases.
· Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
· Coordinate project activities with engineers, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
· Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility standards, and project requirements.
· Facilitate project meetings and communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
· Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of project deliverables.
· Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination efforts.
· Review consultant drawings and integrate multidisciplinary design elements into project documents.
· Participate in design presentations, client meetings, and project review sessions.
· Conduct site observations and assist with construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
· Identify and resolve technical design and construction challenges.
· Mentor and provide guidance to architects, designers, and architectural interns.
· Contribute to process improvements and implementation of architectural best practices.
Competency
- Assist with maintaining project documents, logs, and file organization.
- Support meeting prep, note‑taking, and distributing project information.
- Track tasks, update schedules, and coordinate with internal team members.

- Follow established QA/QC and document control procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
· Architectural licensure (Registered Architect) or actively working toward licensure.
· Typically, 4 to 7 years of progressive architectural experience.
· Experience preparing and coordinating construction documents.
· Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, materials, and code requirements.
· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other industry-standard software.
· Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and consultants.
· Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
