Architectural Intern
Job Description:
Leading Healthcare Architectural firm is seeking an experienced Architectural Intern to fill a position in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Architect Intern will provide full support to the Project Team from preliminary design through construction and occupancy of the project.
Responsibilities Include:
- Be part of a close team of individuals dedicated to a variety of projects and building types
- Communicate, coordinate, and work well within a team environment and with team members, consultants, and others as required
- Work daily with team members to determine project needs and priorities
- Assist in project development throughout the building design process, including programming, schematic design, design development and contract documents
- Create 3D and 2D construction documents using Revit
- Provide presentation graphics and design support for presentations, which may include computer modeling, model building, and renderings
- Perform redline changes and revisions
- Research products and materials
- Compile data and perform elementary design computations
- Prepare finish binder, boards, and finish materials
- Assist with field dimensions, site observations, and construction administration
- Deliver packages to authorities having jurisdiction, clients, and others as required
- Responsibilities will include other tasks as required
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Architecture and 0-3 years experience
- Knowledgeable of the design and construction process
- Detail oriented, diligent, organized, and self-directed
- Team-oriented, highly-motivated individual, and eager to learn
- Possesses the ability to work well in a team environment with a collaborative and professional work ethic
- Proficient with technical detailing, Building Information Modeling and 3D skills
- Proficient in Revit and Microsoft required. AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Bluebeam a plus
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- LEEP AP a plus
