SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — ARCHSOL has announced three leadership promotions, naming Betsy Duenas Parra and Steve Klausner directors of project leadership and Bryon Joyce director of architecture. These ARCHSOL leadership promotions strengthen the team responsible for advancing the firm’s people, projects and healthcare design practice.

The promotions recognize three accomplished professionals whose expertise and leadership have made a meaningful impact on ARCHSOL’s clients, project teams and collaborative culture. In their expanded roles, they will help guide the firm’s continued growth while advancing the responsive service, technical excellence and owner-centered solutions its healthcare partners rely on.

Betsy Duenas Parra, Director of Project Leadership

With more than 15 years of architectural experience focused on healthcare planning and design, Betsy brings a comprehensive understanding of project delivery—from early programming and planning through construction administration and closeout. In her expanded leadership capacity, Betsy will continue serving as ARCHSOL’s hospital project lead for Mayo Clinic, supporting ongoing work and future opportunities.

She has supported healthcare providers and physician groups throughout the United States and internationally, including Banner Health, Mayo Clinic, Fresenius Medical Care, IASIS Healthcare, Nephrology Associates of Utah and ISSSTESON, a Mexican public health system.

Betsy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and a Master of Science in Design with an emphasis on healthcare and healing environments from Arizona State University. She holds Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification and Lean Green Belt credentials and is proficient in Revit, BIM coordination and multiple project-delivery methods.

Known for her analytical thinking, attention to detail and collaborative approach, Betsy will guide project teams, strengthen firmwide delivery practices and mentor emerging leaders. Her combination of healthcare expertise, technical knowledge and commitment to client success will help ARCHSOL continue creating thoughtful environments centered on the needs of patients, caregivers and communities.

Bryon Joyce, Director of Architecture

Bryon brings more than 28 years of experience in architecture and construction, with expertise spanning technical design, project management, business development and construction administration. Throughout his tenure with ARCHSOL, he has successfully guided complex projects from initial planning and design through construction and closeout, earning the trust of clients, consultants and colleagues.

His ability to connect creative design with technical execution helps project teams develop coordinated, practical and high-quality solutions. Bryon works closely with project managers, production teams and project partners to maintain design intent, strengthen document quality and support successful project outcomes.

Known for his decisive leadership, technical expertise and commitment to architectural excellence, Bryon has made a lasting contribution to ARCHSOL’s projects and collaborative culture.

As Director of Architecture, Bryon will champion the firm’s creative vision and technical standards while advancing the integrated processes that support the delivery of complex healthcare environments. He will also help strengthen the firm’s architectural infrastructure, explore innovative design frameworks and mentor the next generation of architects at ARCHSOL.

Steve Klausner, Director of Project Leadership

With more than 34 years of experience in architectural design, planning, client service and project-delivery management, Steve brings a comprehensive understanding of both the business and practice of architecture to his expanded leadership role.

His expertise encompasses project administration, financial management, resource planning, contract negotiations, fee development, construction documentation and on-site observation. Steve has successfully guided projects through the complete architectural process—from entitlements, programming and early predevelopment planning through design, construction administration, final closeout and owner occupancy.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. He previously served as a board member of the AIA San Fernando Valley Chapter and is a member of the Project Management Institute. Known for his decisive, goal-oriented leadership and focus on successful outcomes, Steve brings clarity and accountability to complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.

“I am incredibly thrilled to step into this role at such a pivotal time for our firm,” said Steve. “Strong leadership is the foundation of innovation and sustainable growth. I look forward to working across all areas of our firm to empower our team members, unlock their full potential and build a resilient leadership culture focused on serving our clients and successfully delivering their important projects.”
